Spotlight on Cinema: Orange County Film Society

For film enthusiasts in Orange County, the Orange County Film Society (OCFS) is a fantastic opportunity. This club offers year-round access to advance screenings of both blockbuster hits and indie films. Members also receive exclusive invitations to private Q&A sessions and receptions, plus special perks from the Newport Beach Film Festival.

Founded in 2006 by the Newport Beach Film Festival, the OCFS is dedicated to celebrating both international and American cinema. Members enjoy a range of film screenings throughout the year, including exclusive previews of upcoming releases. These events often feature discussions with filmmakers, critics, and other cinema experts. The OCFS has showcased a variety of impressive films, including Golden Globe® and Academy Award® nominees and winners.

Membership Options

Collegiate Membership - $75/year

For college students passionate about film, this membership provides access to exclusive screenings and engaging discussions.

  • Invitations to all OCFS advance screenings (20 or more per year)
  • Access to private Q&A sessions and receptions
  • Two tickets to one NBFF Sunset Series Reception

Proof of current college enrollment must be emailed to info@ocfilmsociety.com within 24 hours of joining, such as a screenshot of your class schedule.

Individual Membership - $259/year

For those who want to immerse themselves in cinema, this membership offers access to private screenings of critically acclaimed films before they are publicly released. It’s a great way to connect with fellow film enthusiasts.

  • Invitations to all OCFS advance screenings (20 or more per year)
  • Access to private Q&A sessions and receptions
  • Invitations to at least 2 OCFS-exclusive NBFF screenings
  • Two tickets to two NBFF Sunset Series Receptions
  • $100 off NBFF Opening Night tickets and $5 off all NBFF tickets

Dual Membership - $499/year
